Shane is an applied social policy researcher with 19 years of consulting experience in Australian Government and research agency positions. With a mindset of actively seeking to maximise the value of publicly funded research and evaluation, Shane has a strong desire to collaboratively advance social policy for the Australian Government and social research community. Shane has end-to-end responsibility for research in a range of social policy areas including technology content, online safety and cyber abuse, gendered violence, higher education, injury compensation and return to work. He also has carriage of mixed methods studies with a range of social policy and academic clients, especially those with sensitive subject matter and potentially vulnerable audiences.

Shane has a Bachelor of Science (double major Psychology) from the Australian National University, Master of Applied Science (Organisational Psychology) from the University of Canberra and Diploma of Management from the University of Melbourne. Shane is also a member of the Research Society with Qualified Professional Researcher (QPR) accreditation.
