Paul is highly skilled in the design, implementation, analysis and interpretation of quantitative and qualitative research to inform programs, communications, policy and practice.
Paul has expertise in a broad range of social policy areas including addictive behaviours (such as tobacco and illicit drug use), health needs, social marketing, nutrition and obesity, service use and unmet needs, social ex/inclusion, educational outcomes, political views and gambling behaviour. He also has considerable experience in conducting research with 'hard to reach' and special target audiences; notably, young people, Aboriginal Australians and those from a culturally and linguistically diverse background.
Paul holds a Ph.D. in Public Health (Uni Melb) and is a Centre Visitor at the ANU Centre for Social Research and Methods.
