ACT Survey of 2017 School Leavers

The ACT School Leaver Survey is a survey of young people, or parents of young people, who have recently left school. This survey is being run by the Social Research Centre on behalf of the ACT Education Directorate.
The survey is conducted to find out what young people who left school in recent years are doing now. This will provide important information to help the ACT Government and schools plan future programs and provide better services for young people in the ACT. The survey includes questions about current study and employment.

This survey is being conducted by the Social Research Centre on behalf of the ACT Education Directorate. You may have received a letter, email, or a phone call from 03 8383 4900 or 03 8327 6000 regarding this study.
The information collected in this study will be used by the ACT Education Directorate to help plan future school programs and provide better services for young people in the ACT. A summary of the results will also be published on the Directorate’s website.
For most people, the survey will only take a few minutes to complete. The survey will be available online until 5 June 2020.
If you (or your child) left school in 2017 and received an invitation for this survey, you can complete the survey online anytime between now and 5 June 2020, using the link sent to you in the email or letter.
The survey is entirely voluntary, but your cooperation is important in order to get an accurate understanding of the pathways young people take after leaving school.
The ACT School Leaver Survey is a survey of young people, or parents of young people, who have recently left school. This survey is being run by the Social Research Centre Pty Ltd on behalf of the ACT Education Directorate.
The survey is being conducted for research purposes only. Individual responses will be combined to give us a broad picture of what young people who left school are doing now. At the end of the data collection process, names and contact details will be removed from the survey database. A reference number will remain as the primary identifier for use in public interest research projects.
Your name and contact information originally came from school administrative records. In May 2018 you or a family member agreed to be contacted in 2020 and updated contact details, including email addresses, were collected at that time.
