Communication preferences regarding breast screening

Client: BreastScreen Victoria

We are conducting qualitative research with women, trans and gender diverse people with breasts, aged between 45 and 55 years old who have never had a breast screen (mammogram or breast x-ray), and who live in one of the following areas:

  • Cranbourne
  • Dandenong
  • Cities of Bayside, Glen Eira or Kingston
  • Mornington Peninsula.

What is this research about?

The research is being conducted on behalf of BreastScreen Victoria to help them understand eligible Victorians’ communication preferences and behaviour regarding breast screening.

The findings will be used to help them identify ways to engage with and invite eligible Victorians for breast screening.

What will participation involve?

Participation involves taking part in an informal and confidential group discussion with a (female) researcher and up to 7 other participants.

All participants in this research will be paid for their time.
