Pest Animal and Weed Management Survey

The Pest Animal and Weed Management Survey will provide vital information to assess the impacts and management of pest animals and weeds across Australia. If you have received a letter regarding this, you have been invited as an owner or manager of an agricultural property.

The survey is being conducted by the Australian Bureau of Agricultural and Resource Economics and Sciences (ABARES) on behalf of the Department of Agriculture and Water Resources (DAWR). The results will assist DAWR to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of programs and support further program development in improving pest animal and weed management. Simply go to agriculture.gov.au/PAWsurvey to start the survey.

The survey closing date is Monday 15 July 2019

The survey should take you around 30 to 40 minutes to complete and should be completed by the person over the age of 18 years who has the best knowledge about the property.

This survey is being managed by the Australian Bureau of Agricultural and Resource Economics and Sciences (ABARES) on behalf of the Department of Agriculture and Water Resources (DAWR). The Social Research Centre, a national social research company, has been contracted to undertake the fieldwork.

You will find it easier to complete this survey if you have some knowledge of the management of pest animals and weeds. Some questions ask about expenditure/days spent on pest animal and weed management. As such, you may need access to your business records for 2018/19.
