Public health survey to improve health and related services

The Social Research Centre are conducting a research study for an important public health agency. The survey is being conducted in all Australian states.

The research is about an important public health topic. Due to the nature of the survey questions, the public health agency involved cannot be revealed to respondents until after survey completion as this knowledge may influence survey answers.

The results of this survey will be used to help improve health and related services in Australia.

Your phone number was randomly generated by computer. We find this is the best way to obtain a representative sample to make sure we get opinions from a wide range of people.

The Do Not Call Register is for telemarketers who are trying to sell you something or get you to donate to charity. It does not apply to people who are only collecting opinions and conducting research.

The survey will take about 15 minutes to complete, depending on your answers. If you would prefer to participate in the survey at a more convenient time for you, this can be arranged. Please call the Social Research Centre on 1800 023 040 (free call) to schedule an appointment.

The survey is entirely voluntary however your cooperation is important to better understand the public’s knowledge and awareness of an important public health topic.

Any information you provide will be completely confidential and your answers will not be identified as individual responses. Responses are used for research purposes only and are treated in strict confidence. No other agency or department will have access to your details. All information provided is protected by strict Commonwealth and State privacy laws.
